Happy New Year everyone!

My new year resolution? SECRET!hahahaha...actually there's nothing.Every year is just the same.Maybe try to be a better person each day.Answer to Malin's curiousity;"Aku tak carik husband black kot, flirt je la..bak kata ayah Dias, nanti anak macam babun...haha..".Since this is going to be my last year of United States, I'll make use of it.Actually I love it here despite of the school work and away from family/friends.

Right now I'm here in Knoxville(booooooo....bosan!hehehe..jgn marah Dias) with Dias and her mum.I really enjoy their company especially with Auntie since she cooks delicious meals everyday. I'm force to finish up the food.Memang gemukla.Takpe, tak selalu. But the nightmare begins when Dias starts snoring at night...ayo..setahun baru I can sleep..hahaha..To make it worse, she also begins to fart 24/7.Memang pening la kepala.Takpe, tak selalu.

Minneapolis is much much better than Knoxville. Now I know why Dias acting a lil' bit 'wild' here...hahaha..If I were to describe, the list goes on.Kesian Dias everyday kena dengar her mum and I complain pasal Knoxville and her awful apartment..so buruk. But it is better than purdue la..The thing that I hate most is semua kat sini orang tua..mannnnnnnnn....I NEVER see nice looking guys around...agak phatetic la kat sini.I feel myself like an old woman tau.To Dias,I now understand how you feel being here..my Condolence..

Our trip to Atlanta wasn't bad. We enjoyed the visit to Georgia Aquarium which is the largest aquarium in the..tak ingat whether US or World...It was awesome..auntie really enjoyed it.I'll post the pics at fotopages soon. We also planned to go to World of Coke but too bad,the line was so so long sampai tak nampak hujung...i'm quite frustated. Then we went shopping and lepak lepak kat hotel. It was a great trip.

I have about a week before I get back to Minnesota. Not looking forward to go back when I'm thinking of the freezing cold weather. I'll enjoy myself to the max here with Dias and auntie...

Hey,

Hello everyone! How's everyone doing?Hope you guys are happy and healthy with ur family in Malaysia( except for Dias and her mum).I'm doing good here in Minnesota.Just finished the damn finals....freaking cold...nothing else I can do except 'berhibernasi' at home and only go out to work. Pretty occupied with job before leaving to Knoxville. Kena jaga exam from 8 am till 4 pm. Then keje boynton from 4 pm till 7 pm. Last Friday, those students gave me headache...one of the students said that the exam was supposed to be 3 hrs but I said that the prof. only gave 2 hrs....and I have to contact the prof. and she said that it was only 2 hrs...and the same student claimed that some of the questions were confusing and there were mistakes and it took him a long time to think about it and bla bla bla....penat nak layan...and one of the students asked me for a tissue paper and I told him to get it from the restroom...and he also asked me whether he should use pen or pencil...I mean come on...you should know, this is not ur first time taking the exam.In fact it was a final exam..and macam macam lagi perangai....enuff for that...

Boynton story...dedicated to Hazrina...u know what Hazrina, all Boynton staff have to wear the name-tag...a new one with our picture on it..cool la gak but my pic is so tak cun..gamba student ID...my face is bulat like papaya..I hate it...i'm thinking of not to wear it but I can't...failure to do so will result in indisciplinary action...poyo jer...the evening Boynton crews were planning on having a small party where we'll cook...but everyone has no time to cook..so, it was cancelled...I suggested we just ordered pizza...everyone agreed...Eddie was so kind(as usual)..he bought us the pizzassss....so nice of him...stuffed crust lagi tu...

Finally, looking forward to see Dias and her lovely mum...:)..have to bring my reading short stories with me...ok...that's all for now...more to come when I get to Knoxville...miss u guys...

Assalamualaikum and Hi to all,

Ramadhan is approaching the end.Last time berpuasa and beraya di Minnesota( hopefully). Ramadhan kali ni was a little bit different from the previous years. I went to Iftar most of the time. Free food!! Everyone loves it especially Malaysians la kan..:)During weekends, Hong Kong noodles and Village Wok were the 'paid' Iftar for me. There was one weekend when Jaa and Yanti hosted a 'majlis berbuka puasa'for the girls.Since the Minne girls are so called 'perempuan mithali', they made a lot of kuih muih for the majlis berbuka puasa. So, jadi pot luck la pulak kan.Sedap siut bebudak ni masak...giler la..rugi kalau tak buat isteri... As usual, I masakssssssss la kan...But, I did bring ice cream...at least there was something from me..:)...

Yesterday we had the majlis khatam Al-Quran at Yasmin's house. It was a blast. A lot of food...damn..ala ala pot luck lagi la kan...and this time, I did bring nothing since i knew that there'll be a lot of food..so, nanti membazir pulak kalau orang tak makan kan..hehhe..(lame excuse actually but i have the point)..mula mula tu nak balik awal la sebab a lot of works to do..tapi, kalau dah bersembang tu, tak ingat dunia la kan.i ended up going back at 10 pm..terus tido b'cos my stomach was so full..

On the same day, I recieved parcel from home...kuih raya and kad raya..and also kad raya from Hazrina....so, terharu....cuma tak nangis je...so, those things i mentioned above really made my weekend bermakna...thanks people...

So, I want to wish you guys selamat hari raya and maaf zahir batin..Kalau makan kuih raya tu ingat ingat la fiejo kat sini b'cos I will beraya with Mccormick sambil buat presentation...

Hey people,

This is my life...taknak cakap banyak..read this...pls pray for me so that i'll pass this ******* class....

Subject: Reminders
Date: 13Oct05 11:14am

Monday lab section,

Based on previous group meetings and reports, Profs. Caretta and
McCormick have added the following course requirements to our section
(in order of importance):

1.) Submit an electronic copy of your lab report ON the day it is
due, before 1:25 (to me)! Without it, your reports will not be
graded at all! Please name the file with your group number, date of
submission, and experiment title. (this is a course-wide requirement)

2.) It has always been recommended that you rehearse your group
meetings talks and have rigorous discussion. It is now required that
you do so. If you cannot honestly tell us that you have gone through
the ENTIRE, FINISHED presentation as a group at least once, we will
not allow you to give the presentation--it is not fair to YOU--
remember, you are graded at these meetings, and we are starting to
take the grades more seriously. You will then have to make up the
group meeting with Prof. McCormick on his schedule, or possibly
forfeit your lab time.

3.) Your private 2-a-week meetings may not be enough time for you to
be effective as a team. Remember that this is a team effort. Prof.
McCormick now asks that you meet DAILY. You are required to send me
a copy of your schedule. It is fair game for either of us to request
attendance at these scheduled private meetings. I don't know how
serious he is about this item, but I wouldn't test him.

4.) At the group meeting after the 1st lab period, you should give a
preview of the next experiment. This preview can be cursory, but it
only helps you to be more thorough. Scan through the handout AND
references--Prof. McCormick seems to care particularly about the
references...

5.) You have a ONE TIME opportunity to submit a revision of your 2nd
report (electronic only!) to me, by the end of the day today. This
revision will not change your formal grade (because that wouldn't be
fair to other sections), but will give YOU an idea how much
difference a revision can make (or should make). It will also give
Prof. McCormick a reason to bump up your grade at the end based on
his impression of your effort--a bad effort MAY lead to negative
extra credit...

6.) One of the harsher requirements under consideration is the
following: if reports continue to appear unrefined (1st-draft
quality), we may require you to copy us on any e-mails containing
report fragments and comments. We may even require such
correspondence, and even enforce deadlines. Don't make us do this--I
would be the one suffering the flood of e-mails, and that wouldn't
make me happy.

7.) A personal note: PLEASE, pay attention to the PRECISION of your
LANGUAGE! At least 2 things will come of this: you will force
yourself to have a better understanding of what's going on, and
people will stop asking you annoying questions.

I know the above list is long, and maybe kind of depressing/
infuriating, but take it from me, a fellow student from a different
university, that the effort the faculty put into this course is
admirable, and you are lucky to have such caring professors (and such
nice equipment in the lab).

see you monday,

alex
